dc.description.abstract Concerning persecution of Quakers in Philadelphia, and explaining their beliefs. Also published under title: A representation on behalf of the people called Quakers. Caption title. At head of title: Philadelphia, 12th month 6th, 1781. On the 26th ultimo a Committee of six Friends, by appointment, waited on the President of the Executive Council, and the Speaker of the General Assembly, with copies of the following representation ... "Signed in and on behalf of a meeting of the Representatives of the said people, held in Philadelphia, the 22d day of the 11th month, 1781."--p. 8. Imprint from colophon. Although dated [1781] by Evans it is more likely that this edition was issued in 1782, as the "Representation" was submitted Dec. 6, 1781. Dated [1782?] by Alden.
