dc.description.abstract "To the Christian reader" signed: Iames Leech. On signature A3v: "I confesse some good part of this was published many years since, gathered out of another cathechisme by a godly and reuerent preacher M. Moore of Norwich, which I haue altered and enlarged in many places". (Hence, this work may be based in part upon Edward Dering's "A short catechisme for househoulders", first published as "A briefe & necessary instruction."). The text is continuous in spite of pagination. Formerly STC 15365. Reproduction of original in the Harvard University Library, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
