Abstract

Another edition (with additions) of: Summe or pith of the .150. psalmes of David (STC 2747.5), a translation by Richard Taverner of: Capito, Wolfgang. Precationes Christinæ ad imitationem psalmorum copositæ. In two parts. Part 2 is a version of part 1 of "Prayers of the Byble taken out of the olde testament and the newe" (STC 20200.3, which was based on: Brunfels, Otto. Precationes Biblicae). Part 2 caption title (leaf 2nd A1) reads: The principal prayers of the the Byble moste necessary for christen men, gathered out by Richard Tauerner. Imprint from colophon. Printer's name and vendor's name suggested by STC. At foot of title: Cum priuilegio ad imprimendum solum. Signatures: pi⁴ A-P; A-E. Formerly also STC 23710.
