dc.description.abstract | The roman numeral date is made with an infinity sign and a turned C. "A letter of Mr. Casaubon. With a memorial of Mris Elizabeth Martin, late deceased" (the latter in verse) has separate dated title page with imprint "London, Printed by Nicholas Okes for George Norton"; register is continuous. Signatures: A-D E⁴. The first leaf and the last leaf are blank. A variant (STC 17509) names Nicholas Okes in the general title-page imprint. Identified as STC 17509 on UMI microfilm reel 1387; "A letter" identified as STC 4746 on reel 1373. Reproductions of the originals in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery and the Bodleian Library. Appears at reel 1387 and at reel 1731 (Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery, same copy filmed twice), and at reel 1373 (Bodleian Library copy). |
