Variant: part 2 is a reissue of STC 18657.5, ending on p. 247. Controversies 16-17 are prefixed to it in quires 2*-5*. Second p. 307 misnumbered 207. With a final errata leaf. Part 1, X1, 2H1, 2I1, and 2M1 are cancels. The third part called for on the title page is "The guide of faith", published and listed separately (STC 18659). The two parts originally published separately in 1615 and 1619 as: An antidote or soveraigne remedie against the pestiferous writings of all English sectaries. Reproduction of the original in the Union Theological Seminary (New York, N.Y.). Library.
