dc.description.abstract | The first two sermons are by Thomas Jackson, Dean of Peterborough; the third by John Donne. Milbourne is the editor. With a preliminary imprimatur leaf. "Gods iust hardning of Pharaoh, when he had filled up the measure of his iniquitie" and "Mans timely remembring of his creator" each have separate dated title page; pagination and register are continuous. The title page and conjugate imprimatur are in two settings: (1) as above, with "hee had" in title line 8, or (2) with "he had". A variant of the edition with "sold by Iohn Colby" in imprint.
