The name of the author, Henry Jacob, appears throughout the book. "Against the assumption of the said argument, Mr Iohnson made 32. exceptions and 9. reasons .." (caption title) begins new pagination on A1r; "A short treatise concerning the truenes of a pastorall calling in pastors made by prælates" has separate dated title page but pagination and register are continuous.
