  Two declarations from His Excellency Sir Thomas Fairfax, and the Generall Councell of his army; the first, to the Right Honourable, the Lord Major, aldermen, and Common-Councell of the City of London, in behalfe of the whole army; together with the Generals desires therein. And an answer of the Lord Major, aldermen, and Common-Councell thereunto. The second, to the whole kingdom in generall; concerning the resolution of His Excellency, and the officers and souldiery under his command, touching the power of the sword, &c. Occasioned by a late petition and engagement of some citizens, commanders, officers, and souldiers of the trained bands and auxiliaries &c.
