BY THE KING. ¶ A Proclamation for the Payment of His Majesties Rents, and Revenues into His Receipt of His Exchequer, at His Citty of Oxford.

WHEREAS the Kings most excellent Majesty, for good causes, was gratiously plea­sed by His late Proclamation (amongst other things) to Order, Declare, and Pub­lish, that the Receipt of His Majesties Exchequer, and of the first Fruits, and Tenths payable by all Spirituall Persons, and others should be, and by the said Proclama­tion was, and stood adjourned unto the Citty of Oxford, for the whole Terme of Saint Hillarie then next ensuing, and now instant, and should begin, and be there held, and continued upon and from the Three and Twentieth day of Ianuary then next ensuing, untill, and upon the Thirteenth day of February then next following. And that the Court of Wards and Liveries, should be, and by the said Proclamati­on was, and stood adjourned for, and during all the Terme, and time aforesaid, from the Citty of Westmin­ster, unto the said Citty of Oxford, and should be there held, and continued. His Majesty doth hereby pub­lish, and declare His Royall pleasure to be, That His said Receipt shall continue at His Citty of Oxford, and that all His Majesties Rents and Revenues shall be paid into His Majesties Receipt of His Exchequer, at the said Citty of Oxford, untill such time as His Majesty shall declare His farther pleasure to the contrary. And His Majesty doth by this His Proclamation Will and Require all His Auditors, and Receivors of His seve­rall Revenues to attend His Majesty in their severall Offices, and places, at the said Citty of Oxford. And that none of them, nor any other of His Majesties Officers, Ministers and Subjects whomsoever presume, af­ter the publishing of this His Proclamation, to pay any summe or summes of Mony due to His Majesty, at Westminster, or elsewhere contrary to His said Proclamation, as they will answer the same at their utter­most Perills. And His Majesty doth hereby inhibit, and forbid all the Officers, and Ministers of His Court of Wards, and Liveries, to make any Composition, or Compositions with any Person, or Persons, or to doe any other Act, or Acts, thing or things, touching or concerning that Court, at any other place then at His said Citty of Oxford, and without having due respect to His Majesties said Proclamation, untill His Majesty shall declare His farther pleasure. And His Majesty doth hereby declare all Compositions, or Agreements so by them already made, or to be made, contrary to this His Majesties Proclamation, to be void, and of no force and effect. And that His Majesty will not be bound to the performance of the same, or any of them. And His Majesty doth hereby Require, and Command all His Officers, Ministers and Subjects whomsoever, whom it may concerne, to yeeld due obedience and observance to this His Proclamation, as they will an­swer the contrary at their Perills.
