thing beleevers hearts are fixt upon,
that thing of God they are to seeke alone;
And seeking seeke they must till they obtaine,
Mat. 13. 44, 45. psal. 84 1, 2, 3, 4, & 10.
prefering it before all earthly gaine.
psal. 84. 4.
That precious thing is, that they may be blest,
to sit in prov. 8. 34. Cant. 1. 7. 8. Gods own House, and [...]here to rest,
Even all their daies, in glory to abide,
what ever outward want they have beside.
psal. 48. 1, 2, & 84. 1, 10, 11.
That they may view the beauty of the Lord,
and in his worship ever more accord:

Gods glory is the thing they doe desire,
and in his Temple daily to enquire.

Till this obtained be, no rest they have,
of God by Christ, this fervently they crave;

Christs glorious face doth yeeld them such delight,

What this House is, if further you demand,

Of Saint, it is an Armed warlike band:

Who are in Christs name gathered into one,
to worship God, as
Mat. 28. 20.
Christ commands alone.

They do professe, to Christ they all belong,

in Christ united, they become most strong:

With Spirituall weapons they do daily fight.
and in that warfare they do most delight.

Unto them Members they have power to take,
Mat. 18. 17.
and to cast out al, that the truth forsake:
1 Cor. 5. 7, 13. 1 Cor. 14. 33. Psal. 68. 24.
Gods order only, they do most desire,
Mat. 15. 6, 9. Den. 12. 2, 3, 8, 11, 32.
all mens devices they adjudge to fire.
Act. 6. 3, 5, & 14, 23.
They of themselves, Church Officers Ordaine,
1 Tim. 5, 17, 18.
Pastors who feed the flock they will maintaine:
1 Iohn 4. 1. Act 17. 11. 1 Thess. 5. 21.
Mens Doctrines they will prove and daily try,
receiving truth, approving no mans ly.
Mat. 23. 8, 10. Acts 3. 22.
Christ as their only Prophet they will heare,
phil. 3. 8.
Christ as their only Priest. they hold most deare:
Isa. 26, 13. & 33, 22, & 4, 12. Mat. 28. 18, 20, & 15, 8, 9. He. 3, 2
To Christ as only King they'l Subjects be,
in Church affaires, in these they all agree.
Neh. 1. 2, 3. Zac. 4, 10, 6, 7.
If any shall this House henceforth deride,
and scorning it, in Babell still abide.
