TWO DECLARATIONS OF THE COMMONS Assembled in PARLIAMENT, The one concerning the Court of WARDS and LIVERIES: The other concerning such as shall Inform the House of any Member that hath ta­ken any Money or other Reward, for any thing depending in the House.

Together with an Order concerning such Persons as are come in from the Kings Quarters, before the first of this instant December.

A Declaration of the Honorable House of Com­mons, whereby the Master and Councel of the Court of Wards and Liveries, are required to presse the suing out of Liveries, as well as com­pounding for Wardships, the former Votes a­gainst the said Court notwithstanding.

THe House being inform­ed, That by reason of a Vote passed in this House the twentieth of September last, that the Court of Wards should be ta­ken away, divers Wardships, Li­veries, Primer seisins, and mean Rates, which heretofore fell and hapned, are not compounded for, and sued out as they ought to be; For remedy whereof, It is hereby Declared, That all Wardships, Liveries, Primer seisins, and mean Rates, which heretofore have hap­ned and fell, or here after shall fall [Page 4] and happen▪ before the Court of Wards shall be put down by the Parliament, shall be answered for to the Commonwealth: And the Master and Counsel of the said Court are required to proceed effe­ctually in granting and compoun­ding for Wardships, and pressing the suing forth of Liveries of all persons whatsoever from whom they shall be due, and in prosecu­ting Suits there, Any pretence of Priviledges or Order to the con­trary notwithstanding; And the Master and Counsel are required to grant the Wardships to any that will compound for them, in case those inabled by the Instru­ctions to compound, do not come in within their times. Provided al­wayes, that this Declaration, or any thing therein contained, shall not extend to any whose Ancestors being Officers or Souldiers, have been slain or dyed in the service of the Parliament.

An Order of the Commons assembled in Parliament, concerning all such per­sons as have come in from the Kings quarters, before the first of this instant December.

ORdered by the Com­mons assembled in Par­liament, That all such persons as have come in from the Kings quar­ters, being Souldiers of Fortune; and submitted to the Parliament before the First of this instant De­cember; and also those five Colo­nels & Officers that came in with Captain Pickering from Worcester, taking the Oath in the Ordinance of the Fifth of April, 1645. and the Nationall League and Covenant, shall forthwith depart out of the City of London and Lines of Com­munication, [Page 6] and give Security to appear when they shall be requi­red, to submit unto all Ordinan­ces of Parliament, not to act or counsell any thing against the Par­liament; And not to return to the said city of London, or come within the lines of Communication with­out leave from this House; and shall therupon have Passes to go to their own habitations, or to their Friends, within any of the Par­liaments quarters being no Gar­rison, and to reside there: This Security to be given to the Com­mittee of Examinations, who are hereby Authorised to take the same. Provided, that if any of them shall return to the said City, or come within the Lines of Com­munication, without such leave as aforesaid first obtained, then they and every of them shall be taken and proceeded against as Spies.

THe House of Commons doth Declare, That it shall be an ac­ceptable service for any person or persons to inform this House, of any Member or Members of this House, that by himself or others di­rectly or indirectly hath taken or received any money or other thing, of any person or persons, for any matter or thing depending in this House, or any Committee of this House, since the beginning of this Parliament: And the House hath appointed a Committee to receive any such Informations, who are to sit in the Exchequer chamber, upon Thursday next in the after­noon, and so from time to time: And the Members of this House are hereby enjoyned, if any of them know of any such thing so taken in manner as aforesaid, by any other of the Members, that they do re­pair to the said Committee, and inform them of the same.
