         <editorialDecl>
            <p>EEBO-TCP is a partnership between the Universities of Michigan and Oxford and the publisher ProQuest to create accurately transcribed and encoded texts based on the image sets published by ProQuest via their Early English Books Online (EEBO) database (http://eebo.chadwyck.com). The general aim of EEBO-TCP is to encode one copy (usually the first edition) of every monographic English-language title published between 1473 and 1700 available in EEBO.</p>
            <p>EEBO-TCP aimed to produce large quantities of textual data within the usual project restraints of time and funding, and therefore chose to create diplomatic transcriptions (as opposed to critical editions) with light-touch, mainly structural encoding based on the Text Encoding Initiative (http://www.tei-c.org).</p>
            <p>The EEBO-TCP project was divided into two phases. The 25,363 texts created during Phase 1 of the project have been released into the public domain as of 1 January 2015. Anyone can now take and use these texts for their own purposes, but we respectfully request that due credit and attribution is given to their original source.</p>
            <p>Users should be aware of the process of creating the TCP texts, and therefore of any assumptions that can be made about the data.</p>
            <p>Text selection was based on the New Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature (NCBEL). If an author (or for an anonymous work, the title) appears in NCBEL, then their works are eligible for inclusion. Selection was intended to range over a wide variety of subject areas, to reflect the true nature of the print record of the period. In general, first editions of a works in English were prioritized, although there are a number of works in other languages, notably Latin and Welsh, included and sometimes a second or later edition of a work was chosen if there was a compelling reason to do so.</p>
            <p>Image sets were sent to external keying companies for transcription and basic encoding. Quality assurance was then carried out by editorial teams in Oxford and Michigan. 5% (or 5 pages, whichever is the greater) of each text was proofread for accuracy and those which did not meet QA standards were returned to the keyers to be redone. After proofreading, the encoding was enhanced and/or corrected and characters marked as illegible were corrected where possible up to a limit of 100 instances per text. Any remaining illegibles were encoded as &lt;gap&gt;s. Understanding these processes should make clear that, while the overall quality of TCP data is very good, some errors will remain and some readable characters will be marked as illegible. Users should bear in mind that in all likelihood such instances will never have been looked at by a TCP editor.</p>
            <p>The texts were encoded and linked to page images in accordance with level 4 of the TEI in Libraries guidelines.</p>
            <p>Copies of the texts have been issued variously as SGML (TCP schema; ASCII text with mnemonic sdata character entities); displayable XML (TCP schema; characters represented either as UTF-8 Unicode or text strings within braces); or lossless XML (TEI P5, characters represented either as UTF-8 Unicode or TEI g elements).</p>
            <p>Keying and markup guidelines are available at the <ref target="http://www.textcreationpartnership.org/docs/.">Text Creation Partnership web site</ref>.</p>

            <p>THE Noble Science of Aſtrology is an Honeſt, True and Lawful Art and Study, though by two ſorts of Men now adays ſlighted, vilified and condemned, (to wit) the Envious and the Ignorant, both which have been ſuffi<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ciently corrected and refuted by the Learned Champions and Propagators of that ſublime Knowledge.</p>
            <p>But to come to our intended Buſineſs, an Honourable, Worthy and Loyal Proteſtant Gentleman, with much Earneſtneſs and Affection, deſired me to erect a Scheme, and give him my Judg<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ment on the Affairs now depending in <hi>Ireland,</hi> and according to his deſire, I took the exact time of his propounding the Queſtion, and found the Heavens in the following Poſture: And becauſe it is ſo remarkable and pertinent a Poſition, I was earneſtly ſoli<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>cited to make it publick, which I have here done for the Reaſons urged unto me.</p>
            <p>Now that a Man may lawfully ſeek a Reſolution on any law<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ful Enterprize, is plain from that Example of <hi>David,</hi> who being in <hi>Keilah,</hi> and hearing that <hi>Saul</hi> was advancing towards him, in order to beſiege that City, was deſirous to know whether he would yea or no; and if ſo, then whether the Men of <hi>Keilah</hi> would be true unto him, and not betray him into the Hands of <hi>Saul?</hi>

                  <p>
                     <hi>Saturn</hi> and <hi>Mars</hi> are mutually applying to an <hi>Oppoſition</hi> from the Firſt and Seventh Houſe, which imports a Reſolution in both Parties to meet, and that an obſtinate and Dreadful Fight may be expect<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ed between them. <hi>Saturn</hi> is (indeed at preſent) much ſtronger than <hi>Mars,</hi> and there are more Planets relating to the Seventh Houſe, than there are to the Firſt, which ſignifies the Enemy to be more numerous than we; and the Lady of the Seventh Houſe being with <hi>Cor Leonis,</hi> puffs them up with Pride and Haughtineſs, and with an expectation of Succeſs: But Oh! the miſerable diſappoint<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ment that they will certainly meet with, for theſe Reaſons in Art.</p>
                  <p>Firſt, The Lady of the Seventh, is in the Sixth, in Oppoſition unto <hi>Jupiter</hi> Lord of the Eighth, in the Twelfth, which import<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>eth the miſerable Havock that will be made of them by Wounds, Sickneſs, Impriſonment, and Death.</p>

                  <p>Thirdly, The <hi>Moon,</hi> Lady of the Fourth in the Firſt in her Ex<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>altation, is a ſure Argument that the Country of <hi>Ireland</hi> will ſurely fall into our Hands, and wholly at the Proteſtant Diſpoſal and Uſe.</p>
                  <p>Fourthly, That becauſe <hi>Mars</hi> diſpoſeth of <hi>Saturn,</hi> and <hi>Luna</hi> ſtrong in the Aſcendant, and applying to the <hi>Square</hi> of <hi>Venus,</hi> as ſhe is Lady of the Seventh, there's no doubt but the Enemy will be routed, ſtand they never ſo obſtinate.</p>
                  <p>Fifthly, The <hi>Trine</hi> of <hi>Jupitur</hi> and <hi>Mercury</hi> ſignifies a Beneficial, Wiſe, and Succeſsful Concluſion of this great Affair unto <hi>Eng<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>land,</hi> and the Proteſtant Army; for <hi>Mercury</hi> is very potent in the Figure, and is Lord of the Second Houſe, and <hi>Jupiter</hi> is exalted in the Fourth.</p>
                  <p>Sixthly, <hi>Mars</hi> is exalted in the Tenth, but <hi>Saturn</hi> hath his Fall in the Aſcendant; <hi>Mars</hi> is Riſing, but <hi>Saturn</hi> is Setting; <hi>Mars</hi> by his Retrograde Motion returns in <hi>Aries</hi> his own Houſe, and there becomes Direct; <hi>Venus,</hi> Lady of the Seventh, is trooping into <hi>Virgo</hi> her Fall; and <hi>Saturn</hi> continueth under the Diſpoſe of <hi>Mars</hi> Lord of the Aſcendant; and the Head of the Dragon is in <hi>Eng<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>land</hi>'s
