WHere it is enacted by Authority of Parliament, that euery Auditor of the Reuenues of the Imperiall Crowne of this Realme, shall yeerly before the time of the Audit, cause Proclamations to be made in sundry Market Townes, in euery County within the limits and circuit of their seuerall Offices, to the end that all and singular Receiuers, Bailiffes, Collectors, Reeues, Farmers, and other Occupiers, Officers, and Ministers accountable, and all others whatsoeuer hauing to doe at that Audit, may the better be prepared with their Money, and all other things requisite for the finishing and clearing of their accounts, as appertaineth.
Know ye therefore, that his Highnesse Auditor of the said Reuenues, within the county of [...] doeth by this present Proclamation, notifie and declare to all and singular Maiors, Sheriffes, Receiuers, Stewards, Vnderstewards, Clarks of Courts, woodwards, Bayliffes, Collectors, Reeues, Farmers, and to all other the Kings Maiesties Officers and Subiects, that his Highnesse Audit for his said reuenues within the said County of [...] for the yeere ending at the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangell now next comming, shall bee kept and holden at [...] in the County of [...] and shall there begin vpon [...] morning, the [...] day of [...] next.
Wherefore his Highnesse saide Auditor, on his Maiesties behalfe, willeth and chargeth aswell all and singular his Highnesse Stewards, Vnderstewards, and Clarkes of Courts, or their sufficient Deputies, to be attendant at the saide Audit: and to bring thither with them, the Court Rowles belonging to their seuerall Offices, for the said yeer and all other yeeres, whereof the profits be not yet answered. As also all & singular Receiuers, Woodwards, Bailiffes, Collectors, Reeues, Bedles, Farmers, and all other his Highnes officers, occupiers, and ministers accountable, and all other his Subiects that owe to his Maiesty any arrerages, tenthes, rents reserued, or other duties, to appeare at the saide Audit, then and there to yeeld account and make payment of the same and all other issues, commodities & profits due to his Highnesse, within the said County of [...] And to bring with them all Rentals, Letters Pattents Indentures, Leases, Coppies, and Extracts of Court Rowles, Warrants, Commissions, Tallies, Aquittances, and all other writings and things concerning any of the premises. And thereof not to faile, as they and euery of them, tender their duties towards his Highnesse, and will auoid the forfaiture of their seuerall Fees and Offices, and other the penalties (by sundry Statutes) limitted for punishment of all such as doe not therein according to their duties. Dated the [...] day [...] in the [...] yeere of the raigne of our said most gracious Soueraigne Lord IAMES, by the grace of God King of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith &c.
Also at the same time & place the Audit for the most Noble Prince CHARLES, Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornewall, & Earle of Chester, is to be kept by the same Auditor, for his Highnes Possessions & Reuenues in the said county of [...] for the same yeer. Whereof in like manner all his Highnes Stewards, Receiuers, Bailiffes, Farmers, Tenants, Officers & Ministers, and all others to whom in that behalfe it doeth & may appertaine, are hereby required and admonished to take knowledge and warning, and then and there likewise to appeare, yeeld accounts, and make payment of all Rents, Debts, duties and things due to his Highnesse within the said county. And in like manner to bring & shew forth all court rolles, Rent rolles, Letters patents, Indentures, Leases, copies, and Estreats of court rolles, Warrants, Commissions, Acquittances, and other Euidences, writings and things concerning any the premisses touching the Princes Highnesse: and to tender and performe their duties towards his Highnesse in that behalfe.
