A number of spelling corrections (details available for those
interested) were made, but there may be others, please
send note to LNP6TTLD if you find any suspected errors, but
remember the text is 18th Century and the edition used has
inconsistent spellings of some words.

Coding within the text
----------------------

The details of italicized words have, unfortunately, been lost, and
are not likely to be replaced by me!!

Line-end hyphenation is dealt with as shown in following sample
lines:


it wants one particular, which the Critic enumerates in the con-+
stituent/ Parts of an Epic Poem, namely Metre; yet, when any

Punctuation seems fairly normal, though use of single quote
not entirely satisfactory (as in examples like ''twas).

| (x'4f) is used for exclamation mark.

* occurs in 2 unusual 'words'

Treat as Padding.

& occurs occasionally so had better go in Alphabet if you are
  fussy.


Size of file
------------

This is quite a long text  (12317 records). It is recommended that
jobs be run in Batch if they read the whole text, and that a
larger than default Scratch file be created.
