Should be etc. Mixture of roman and arabic numerals in act and scene references. references to characters

references to page numbers of edition chosen as base-text references take account of split lines, hence reset explicitly at various points. No continuation character found. used to surround stage directions. Treat as comment markers if processing words in stage directions. A 'clean' version is under preparation and will appear as JULIUSX OCPTEXT in due course. In addition the numbers of [ and ] brackets do not match up. The reason for this is not immediately obvious and there may be errors. TTLD OCTOBER 20TH 1986 ====================== Copy of JULIUSX OCPTEXT placed on ENG6LIB 192. Differences from JULIUS OCPTEXT are as follows : Act and Scene references are now all in arabic numerals. All character name references made consistent. JULIUS has many inconsistent references (e.g. both "Bru." and "Bru" occurred for Brutus). These have all been made uniform, in a form which terminates in full-stop. The double << in record 1419 has been corrected to <. The problem of the [ and ] brackets has not been touched. Access to the edition will be necessary. Line-numbering not checked either. TTLD OCTOBER 31ST 1986 ====================== Two errors in JULIUS OCPTEXT corrected in JULIUSX OCPTEXT : Record 1588 'is body' corrected to 'his body' " 1787 'Ths' " 'The' Some of the hyphenation of the original printed text has been retained in JULIUS OCPTEXT. This will produce word-fragments. Examples are : Records 1589-90 re-ceive " 1871-72 Lig-arius' There are others. Drawing back to previous line best solution ?
